Children's Ministry

JUNIOR CHURCH FUN-DAY: There is to be a fun day for all children attached to the church (Junior Church, Café Logos and Servers). It will be held in the Rectory garden on Sunday 20th July straight after church. Parents and guardians are also welcome, especially if children are to use the Trampoline. More details to follow.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS BEGIN

Summer Programme to be advised

Special Notes:

All adults involved in leading and helping at Junior Church, Café Logos and Godly Play are checked and authorised by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Service and are required to undergo regular Ely Diocese Child Protection Training. Junior Church & Café Logos run simultaneously and share the same space and there is always a minimum of 4 authorised adults present to look after both groups together.

 

The Orton Hall Hotel very generously allows us to use their rooms for our children’s ministry throughout the year at no cost to Orton Longueville Parochial Church Council (PCC). All children and young adults are escorted to and from the church to the Hotel room by authorised Children’s Ministry Leaders. Children are welcome to enjoy refreshments & fellowship in church with their families after the service. All donations given for refreshments during fellowship are used to provide resources for our Children’s Ministry Programme.

 

Our Children’s Ministry Programme is ‘free of charge’ although donations are always gratefully received and can be gift-aided. The collection taken during junior church, Café Logos and Godly Play is held in an account and is gifted annually to a local charity chosen by the children. 

 

Newcomers (especially younger children): We are always delighted when new children join us. We recommend parental supervision for the first 4 sessions (minimum) and reserve the right to request a longer period of parental supervision or a period of deferral until both leaders and parents are satisfied that the child is able to participate without parental supervision.  Parental consent must be provided in writing (forms available) including in particular, emergency contact details, allergies and any health concerns.
