  • Godly Play is a distinctive and innovative way of teaching children and adults the Liturgy of the Word. What makes it distinctive is that each child creates an expressive response to what he/she feels, thinks, or imagines after ‘receiving’ the parable or story told in the group setting. The children have the opportunity to ‘enter’ the story and ‘wonder’ about it and then find meaning that connects the story to their own lives. Children’s abilities are deeply respected and encouraged.

Godly Play is lead by Julie Ardern who is our fully accredited Godly Play teacher and who has been CRB checked by the Diocese of Ely.

We meet on the last Sunday of each month, just before 10:15am at the church porch. Children are met and escorted across to a room at The Orton Hall Hotel, where they have their own Liturgy of the Word. The children rejoin the congregation at the end of the service and are welcome to stay and enjoy a ‘feast’ of biscuits and drinks, with the adults. Newcomers are always welcome! Please contact Julie.
