| Goodbye, thank you and good luck to the Rev. Adam Dunning and family |
|
The 10.15 service on Sunday July 17th was the opportunity for the parish to say its formal “goodbye”
to Adam and his family. There were presentations to Adam from the Sunday School and from the two church wardens on behalf
of the parish. Adam gave a very moving sermon; Sandra Bradshaw recalled her personal experience of Adam on becoming a church
warden; and Rosemary Smith said goodbye to Adam, Heather and Lois on behalf of the parish. Adam was presented with a silk academic gown which he will wear every day when he takes the morning service at Cheltenham
College; Heather was presented with a bouquet of flowers; and Lois was presented with a John Lewis Partnership gift token.
Over cake and drinks after the service the church family
of Holy Trinity said a fond and emotional goodbye, thank you and good luck to the Rev Dr. Adam Dunning, Heather and Lois.
