On
Saturday September 5th 2009 at 10:30am Guests, Trinity Project Team Members, Congregation and Friends of Holy Trinity celebrated
a major milestone in the church's history with the start of the new build North Side Extension.
Here is the prayer of dedication that Rev'd Adam Dunning lead the celebration with:-
Father in Heaven, we gather here today with
hearts full of gladness and Praise for you have so marvellously poured upon us your many blessings.
You have given us a vision for your community.
You have brought many people together to work toward its completion and you have moved the hearts of many to give generously
of their time and treasure.
And so on this day, as we break the Ground, we commit the work of many hands to your glory and the furtherance
of your kingdom. We ask that you shield the builders and labourers from all harm. We
ask that you give them uncommon energy and strength and to complete their task speedily and with great skill.
And we ask that you give us clement weather throughout the winter months.
May each stone of this extension be laid with care
and may your holy angels protect its construction from all vandalism and destructive intent.
These prayers we make to you in the name
of Jesus Christ, he who is the corner-stone of our hearts and minds.
